8-day, 2-centre study tour

Day 1
Arrive Marrakech — usually in the evening. Night in Hotel.
Day 2
An insight into life in Marrakech in traditional horse-drawn calèches. Visit to traditional market, souk, apothecary and Place Jemaa el Fna. Time in the afternoon for shopping, sightseeing and fieldwork.
Day 3
Travel to Imlil, via modern French quarter of Marrakech. Time to visit the Menara gardens, for fieldwork in the new town if required. Arrival in Imlil for lunch. In afternoon, walk in local area to Aremd for mint tea at a local house.
Day 4–6
Pass time in Imlil, carrying out fieldwork, or trek to neighbouring valley for a night at a local berber house.
Day 7
Return to Marrakech, and a last chance for shopping and a visit the dazzling Jemaa el Fna.
Day 8
Tour ends in the morning with transfer to the airport for homeward flight.
