Located at 1314m on the edge of the core zone of the Parc National des Cévennes, the Eagle’s Nest was built in 1953 as a Colonie de Vacances, enjoyed each summer by hundreds of children from the surrounding area. Owned by Discover Limited since 1986 the centre now provides visiting school and University groups from the UK and around the world with a fabulous residential experience in a truly captivating environment.
The Eagle’s Nest offers simple, no frills accommodation in keeping with its surroundings. We have invested where it matters—excellent food, energetic and professional staff and brilliant fieldwork opportunities. We have four stimulating and well-equipped classrooms with laptops and projectors and an extensive range of fieldwork equipment.
Students are accommodated in small dormitories and teaching staff in either single, double or twin rooms. Both students and teaching staff have their own common rooms, and there is a bar and games room on site, and outdoor areas where students can play volleyball, football and boules. Teaching staff have a separate study area so they can keep up with work whilst away from home and the centre is equipped with Wi-Fi.
