Information for visitors
What to bring with you:
The Eagle’s Nest is at 1314m—about the height of Ben Nevis! So whilst we are in the south of France, we can experience quite variable weather conditions at any time of the year! Your staff will be sent a kit list, but please make sure you bring:
- Waterproofs (ideally jacket and trousers)
- Warm jacket (eg. fleece-type)
- Hat and gloves (in Spring and Autumn)
- Warm clothing—lots of layers
- Cool summer clothing
- Sunhat
- Solid outdoor shoes or walking boots
- Strap-on sandals or old trainers (if rafting)
- Personal medication including inhalers, medicines, etc
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Torch
A stock of waterproofs, fleeces, etc. are available for hire at the Eagle’s Nest.
Centre rules:
There are a series of “Centre Rules” in place, designed to ensure a happy and productive working and social environment for all our visitors and staff team at the Eagle’s Nest. On arrival at the Nest, you will be given a tour of the centre and be made familiar with the rules. Briefly though, these are:
- No alcohol purchased off-site to be consumed at the centre
- Do not leave the centre grounds without permission from your teacher—day or night
- No person of the opposite sex in a single sex dormitory/corridor
- Smoking is only permitted with the permission of the school, and only in designated areas
- Quiet between 11.30 p.m. and 7.00 a.m.
- No knives or BB guns to be brought on-site
Thanks for complying with these centre rules.
