The Eagle’s Nest

Located at 1314m on the edge of the core zone of the Parc National des Cévennes, the Eagle’s Nest was built in 1953 as a Colonie de Vacances, enjoyed each summer by hundreds of children from the surrounding area.

The Eagle’s NestAfter being abandoned for 10 years, it was purchased by Discover Limited in 1985 and now provides visiting school and University groups from the UK and around the world a fabulous residential fieldwork or adventure experience in a truly captivating environment.

The Eagle’s Nest offers:

  • Accommodation for up to 96 students in small dormitories
  • Accommodation for 10 teachers in single, double or twin rooms
  • Four well equipped classrooms with computers, data screen projectors and interactive white board
  • An extensive range of fieldwork equipment
  • Games room and bar, and outdoor play areas
  • Student and teacher common rooms
  • Well stocked resources room
